Plans for Alison Sparks – back from the hiatus

Guess who’s back? Well, apparently not just Slim Shady, but also me – Alison Sparks. While making future plans can be a good idea in most cases, sometimes they just don’t work out. And this is one of those times. I truly thought that the online sex work chapter in my life has ended. I thought that my future will still be in the adult industry, but this time as a full-time writer. 

While I was busy with my full-time writing job, I didn’t have any extra energy, time and ideas to keep up my online sex work hustle. Eventually I started wondering if I even have a place in this industry because I started feeling like a fraud. I watched my friends camming, filming videos and doing everything that I dedicated the past 7 years of my life to. I missed it. But I just knew that I didn’t have enough resources to be a full-time writer and a full-time online sex worker. That would be like having two jobs which can be challenging for any person to hold, let alone someone who is sometimes battling my own demons. So here I am – picking up my sex work hustle again.

Starting over and mainstream porn plans

Even though I have nearly 3.5k followers on Twitter and 175 videos for sale on ManyVids alone, I still feel like I’m starting from zero in many ways. Most of my fans have forgotten about my existence or simply moved on. That’s the downside of online sex work – everyone’s so easily replacable. There’s so many gorgeous, naked girls online that what’s one more? Or one less.

But I’m back with hopes to carve out my place in the adult industry once and for all – this time in a different way. For the past two years I’ve been seriously thinking about taking the next step which is becoming a mainstream porn performer. I never felt quite ready, but when the push came to a shove and I got fired from my full-time writing job, I had to reevaluate my priorities. 

At this point I’m 25 years old. Already closer to 26. While I do realise that female porn stars having the expiration date at 30 is a myth, I think the best time to take the next step is now. I’ll network some more, contact some agencies and see how it goes. If not now – when? The truth is – I’m not going to be young forever. Yet – I’m no longer the naive 18-year-old who took her first steps in this industry. I’m ready. As ready as I’ll ever be.

So what does this mean for my own amateur videos and cam shows? While I don’t have plans to become a consistent streamer, the videos are coming back.
